Judith McNaught

Judith McNaught is a New York Time Bestselling author of romance novels. Currently, she has 14 books and 2 anthologies published. And out of the 14 books, 11 are bestsellers.

JM entered into the romantic novels scene with the publishing of her first two contemporary novels, Tender Triumph and Double Standards, back in 1983 and 1984. But JM soared to stardom with the release of her first historical romance, Whitney, My Love, in 1985. After that she released more historical novels such as A Kingdom of Dreams, Once and Always, Something Wonderful and Almost Heaven. In 1990, she took a break from writing historicals and wrote two more contemporaries, namely Paradise and Perfect. In 1994, she wrote Until You, another historical and the sequel to her hit Whitney, My Love. She then wrote a couple of novellas for two Christmas anthologies. First is Miracles, a follow-up to Until You, for the 1994 released Holiday of Love anthology. And next is Double Exposure, for the 1995 A Gift of Love anthology. She continued to write contemporaries after that, releasing Remember When in 1996. By 1998, with the boom of contemporary-suspense romance, she released her first CS with Night Whispers and followed it up with her latest best-selling novel, Someone to Watch Over Me after five years of break in the year 2003. Last December 2005, JM released her 14th book, 9th contemporary and 11th bestseller named Every Breath You Take. There are hints that after that, JM will be returning to writing a historical one for her next release. I'm actually excited and looking forward to that one if that really is true.

JM Books

If you want to know more about her books, check the list below. This is a work in progress and I am currently trying to reread all of my JM books in order to bring you a more comprehensive summary and review. So keep posted. The ISBN, number of pages and back page excerpts are all based on my copies. If I have more than one copy of a book, I'll base it on the most recent copy I have. I'm saying it right now, but the reviews might be a bit spoilery for some. So tread lightly.

JM's characters usually show up in different books. So sometimes, it's better if you read them sequentially. For the historicals, if you would like to read the books in order, start with either Once and Always, Something Wonderful or Kingdom of Dreams. Followed by Whitney, My Love then Almost Heaven, then Until You and finally Miracles from A Holiday of Love anthology. As for her contemporaries, the books that you should read together are Paradise, then Perfect, then Someone to Watch Over Me and Every Breath You Take. Or Double Exposure found at the A Gift of Love anthologies, followed by Remember When then Night Whispers. Her standalone books are Tender Triumph and Double Standards.
